Easy Fruit Ice Cream Recipe:

This Easy Fruit Ice Cream Recipe is a family favorite. It is easy and fun to make and taste so refreshing with the easy fruit ingredients.

No fancy equipment or ingredients are needed. All you need is a blender, water and fruit and you can make this delicious no churn ice cream.

What is Fruit Ice Cream?

Fruit Ice Cream is actually called sorbet. Sorbet is a frozen dessert made up of fruit that has been puree and usually an added sweetener.

Ice Cream, sherbet, and gelato usually have dairy in it, fruit ice cream is usually dairy free. It is a good vegan option.

Ingredients: 

  • Frozen Fruit (any type of your choice)

  • Water 

How to Make Fruit Ice Cream: 

  • Add Fruit to Blender – Place the frozen fruit and frozen bananas in a blender or a food processor.  
  • Then add in the water. 
  • Blend or process on high speed for a few minutes until the mixture is completely smooth.

  • Enjoy or Freeze – You can enjoy the ice cream as is or you can move the mixture to a freezer safe container (like a loaf pan). If you place in a loaf pan, freeze for 2-3 hours to allow the ice cream to firm up if you prefer.  
  • Serve and Enjoy – Then the ice cream is ready to serve and enjoy!

The options are endless on what you can use to blend your favorite ice cream. Here are some of our favorites.

  • Mangos, Strawberries, and Peach
  • Blueberry and Banana
  • Peach and Banana
  • Nutella and Banana
  • Any fresh fruit and frozen berries
  • Heavy Cream or Condensed Milk with Strawberries and Bananas with vanilla extract
  • Coconut milk with pineapple and berries

Tips for The Best Ice Cream:

  • Bananas – Use ripe bananas to a naturally sweet ice cream. When I notice my bananas are getting to ripe, I place them in the freezer in a zip lock bag.
  • Frozen Fruit – If you have fruit getting bad, place in the freezer to make smoothies or ice cream.
  • Healthy Treat – No nee

We Made Strawberry Banana Ice Cream!

Strawberry Banana Ice Cream is one of our favorite combinations. The flavor of the two make the perfect ice cream. If you are wanting soft serve ice cream, then you can eat right out of the blender.

But it is just as easy to place the fruit blended ice cream in a container to freeze. It will take about 2 to 3 hours to freeze the ice cream. I like to make it the night before and then we freeze it overnight.

Do I need a Ice Cream Machine?

No, you don’t need a ice cream maker machine. This recipe requires only a blender or a food processor to mix the frozen ingredients.

Prepare the homemade ice cream by using slice berries and add to your high power blender and blend until smooth.

What goes well with easy frozen dessert:

This dessert ice cream is loaded with fruit it is perfectly paired with any meal. Since it is naturally sweet, pair with pancakes or crepes for a perfect breakfast idea.

Serve on a waffle cone or waffle bowl for an amazing dessert. We love to serve this ice cream at get togethers and have different toppings.

How to Store:

If you freeze the ice cream, allow it to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to soften some before serving.  

This frozen treat will keep covered in the freezer for up to 1 month. This dessert is perfect to prepare ahead of time. If I know that I am serving a crowd, I like to make several batches at time.
