Bacon Wrapped Corn on the Cob

The corn is tender and the bacon is crisp. Everything is coated in delicious, melted butter seasoned with honey, chili powder and more. Grilled Bacon Wrapped Corn is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • Ears of Corn, shucked
  • Bacon
  • Chili Powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Honey
  • Vegetable Oil

How to make corn on the cob wrapped in bacon:

Step 1. Preheat the oven. First, set the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2. Combine the seasoning. Next, mix together the chili powder, salt and pepper together in a small bowl.

Step 3. Coat the corn with oil and seasoning. Rub the vegetable oil on the ears of the corn and season the corn with the half of the seasoning mixture.

Step 4. Wrap the corn in bacon. Then wrap each of the corn with the bacon overlapping the bacon slightly (3 slices of bacon per ear of corn).

Step 5. Place each ear of corn on aluminum foil. Then place each piece of corn on a piece of foil. Next, season the outside of the bacon on the corn with the remaining seasoning mixture and drizzle the honey evenly on top.

Step 6. Evenly spread the seasoning. Use a basting brush to make sure that the honey is spread evenly on the bacon. Next, wrap the foil around the corn and secure the end of the foil.

Step 7. Cook the corn. Next, place the corn on a baking sheet and place in the oven. Cook for 25-30 minutes (flipping the corn halfway through the cook time) until the bacon is crispy and the corn is cooked thorough.

Step 8. Allow to rest. Finally, let the corn rest to cool slightly. Then carefully unwrap the foil from the corn and serve immediately while warm. Enjoy!

How long to cook bacon wrapped corn on the cob?

Corn does not take long to cook. It only takes between 25 minutes to 30 minutes for the corn to become tender. The bacon should also be crispy.

How to store leftovers?

This corn is best served fresh when the bacon is crispy but you can refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. The bacon will get softer when it’s stored.

Yes, the corn can be cooked in advance to reduce the cooking time. It will just need to be cooked long enough for the bacon to become crispy.

  • Step 1. Preheat the grill. We preheated the grill to medium heat.
  • Step 2. Mix together the seasoning. Combine the seasoning as instructed above.
  • Step 3. Place the corn on foil. Next, coat in butter and add the seasoning.
  • Step 4. Wrap in bacon. Then wrap each ear of corn in bacon and finish wrapping in foil.
  • Step 5. Place on the grill. Finally, grill the corn over medium heat for 25 minutes turning the corn frequently.

  • Maple Syrup. You can use maple syrup instead of honey in this recipe if you prefer.
