How to Make Crock Pot Oatmeal
- Step 1 – Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Step 2 – Add the old-fashioned rolled oats, water, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt to the crock pot. Stir to combine.
- Step 3 – Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or overnight, until the oats are tender and the desired consistency is reached.
- Step 4 – Once done, give the oatmeal a good stir to incorporate any liquid that may be on top.
- Step 5 – Serve the oatmeal hot, with your choice of optional toppings such as fresh berries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts, or additional maple syrup.

- Creamy Oatmeal – For a creamier oatmeal, you can use all milk instead of a combination of water and milk.
- Thinner Oatmeal – If you prefer your oatmeal to have a thinner consistency, you can add an extra ½ to 1 cup of liquid to the crock pot before cooking.
- Slow Cooker Liner – For an easy clean-up line the slow cooker with a liner. We also recommend to spray the slow cooker with cooking spray to prevent the oatmeal from sticking.

Yes, we recommend freezing in individual portions in a freezer safe container. If stored properly the oatmeal will last about 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight when ready to serve.
