These tacos are best served fresh, but you can refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Just make sure to store the salmon separately. You can assemble the tacos when ready to enjoy.

Leftovers are also delicious served over rice or to make quick salad. This is an easy way to enjoy another quick lunch or dinner.

How do you cut fish for fish tacos?

Use a sharp knife and cut the fish into chunks. I like to cut them into bite size pieces to make it easy to make the tacos.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Don’t overcook the salmon. It does not take long to cook. Salmon will quickly become tough if cooked too long.
  • Use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of salmon should be 145 degrees. I use a digital meat thermometer to ensure it is fully cooked. This also helps to prevent overcooking.
  • Skin side down. If the salmon fillets have skin on them, place this side down on the grill first.
