You can use an 8 quart or a 6 quart for this recipe.

Ingredients:

This easy steak bite recipe can be prepped in about 10 to 15 minutes. This is what you’ll need for this easy recipe.

  • Round steak, cut into bites
  • Onion, diced
  • Minced garlic
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Butter
  • Beef broth

How to make Steak Bites in the Instant Pot:

  • Place all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix.
  • Add the beef in the Instant pot.
  • Then pour season mix on top of beef.
  • Set the valve to sealing.
  • Set the pressure for 20 minutes.
  • Do a quick release to natural release pressure and stir to combine. Cook time could vary.
  • Serve immediately.

Sirloin beef tips cooked on high pressure or high heat make a very fast meal for crazy schedules. The browned bits are our favorite.

Such a great meal in under 25 minutes pressure cooked.  This is a quick easy meal for busy weeknights when you use the electric pressure cooker.

Recipe Tips:

  • Make a Gravy – You can make a gravy by stirring 1 tablespoon cornstarch in with ½ cup of water. Then whisk it in with the steak juices. Bring it to a boil over the stove or allow it to sit in the crock pot on high for an hour to thicken.
  • Add in Cream of Mushroom Soup – Another idea is to use cream of mushroom soup for a delicious gravy and you can also add mushrooms and beef broth. Minced onion would also be yummy.
  • Add Potatoes to the Instant Pot – I like to take potatoes and wrap them in foil. Then lay them on top before I add the lid and have “baked” potatoes with these steak bites.
  • Stir in Red wine – You can also add in some cooking red wine for additional flavor to the steak bites.
  • Try adding in some Worcestershire sauce. I love cooking with Worcestershire sauce and they flavor it adds to my steak.

How to Cook Frozen Steak Bites:

Forgot to take the meat out of the freezer? No worries because you can also make this recipe with frozen beef tips.

If you make this recipe with frozen, you’ll need to add 5 minutes to the cook time.

Yet another thing I love about the pressure cooker. This keto recipe is so amazing that the entire family will enjoy this keto friendly meal.

Variation for Steak Bites:

I often just use what I have in the freezer or what is on sale at the grocery store that week. But these steak bites always turns out wonderful regardless of which cut of meat you use.

  • You can use Stew Meat – I like that my grocery store already has pre-cut stew meat so all have to put it in the instant pot.
  • Sirloin Steak works great too – You can usually find a pretty good price on this cut of meat.
  • Try garlic butter steak bites. After I have cooked the steak bites, I love to toss the steak in melted garlic butter.

How to Store Leftovers

Steak bites reaheat perfectly. I do recommend you store them in an air tights container in any of the sauce leftover in the Instant pot. This will keep your steak bites moist when you reheat them.

To reheat steak bites, simply cook them in a skillet in the extra juice until heated through.
