We love tacos and this recipe is a hit with everyone. The beef is so tender and the lime gives it the best flavor.

With just a few ingredients, this recipe takes little to no time to make.

Sometimes, I will make a little homemade salsa verde to go with the tacos and it’s so yummy.

Ingredients for Keto Beef Carne Asada:

  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Ground Beef
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Taco Toppings: Cheese, tomatoes, avocado, etc.

How to make street tacos for the Keto diet:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Then place the cheese in approximately ¼ cup piles that are at least 2 inches a part from each other. Then press the cheese down slightly.
  • Bake for 8-11 minutes or until the edges of the cheese are slightly browned.
  • Then let the cheese for approximately 2-3 minutes. Then remove the cheese from the sheet and bend it over a wooden handle that is balanced in between 2 cups.

  • While the shells are cooling, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium high heat until the beef is browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Then add in the taco seasoning and the salat. Stir everything together and cook for 3-5 minutes or heated through.
  • Then add the meat to the cheese taco shells and top with your favorite taco toppings.

Are corn tortillas Keto?

Corn tortillas are higher in net carbs than are allowed on the keto diet. It would be hard to have  just one small tortilla if that and still keep within your limits.

Absolutely! Just omit the taco shells and use lettuce or keto friendly taco shells.
