Have you tried making homemade taco seasoning?

I love making my own taco seasoning.  We use it all the time.

I love not having to wonder about hidden ingredients or what I am feeding my family. Plus, it is so easy to make and tastes much better than those store bought seasoning packets.

Try slow cooker mexican lasagna recipe with tortillas.

This recipe is also very good with tortillas instead of lasagna noodles. Just cut the tortillas into pieces and put in the casserole.

We are big fans of using what we have and trying new things. I can easily substitute items and the kids think they are eating a new recipe when it is really the same thing. 🙂

We often use what we have in the freezer or what is on sale that week.By shopping when things are on sale I save money on groceries and it really helps our budget. Saving money and feeding a big family can be accomplished.

Try adding onion and bell pepper.

We keep diced onion and bell pepper in the freezer so it is easy to add to any recipe we like. Another time saving tip is to use a small food chopper or food processor to quickly and easily chop the onions.

If you do not have one of these, I highly recommend them. They are such a time saver and you can get the veggies really fine if you have children that are picky.

I usually just chop the entire vegetable and freeze what I don’t need. It’s so nice to be able to just take the diced onion out of the freezer for recipes.

This is how I meal prep. It’s so quick and easy and helps get dinner on the table fast.

Give this easy mexican lasagna recipe!

You need a crock pot to make this easy lasagna. If you are in the market for something new, I really love my Ninja cooker.

The nice thing about this is you can brown the meat in the same slow cooker and save yet another pan. No need to use a large skillet over medium heat to brown the meat.  You can just do this right in the ninja until no longer pink.

It is so handy to just have the one pan to clean. It has become of my favorite kitchen appliances.

Make this delicious recipe and feel free to make it your own. Try adding black beans, enchilada sauce, corn tortillas, diced tomatoes or whatever you love!

The beef mixture is so delicious and once the cheese is melted, it is even better! You can use a baking dish for this casserole instead of the slow cooker.

It really is just so easy to adapt to what kind of day you are having.
