Ingredients

Ingredients - Ground beef, onion, garlic, mushrooms, flour, beef broth, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, sour cream, egg noogles, parsley
  • Lean Ground Beef – I prefer using ground beef in this recipe, you can substitute with another type of ground meat if you prefer such as ground turkey, ground pork or ground chicken.
  • Onion – We like to dice the onion into small pieces with a vegetable chopper. You can even prepare the onions ahead of time and freeze the chopped onion. Onion powder is a great substitute
  • Minced Garlic – Learn How to Mince Garlic Cloves. You can also use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • All Purpose Flour – Helps to thicken the sauce
  • Beef Broth – If you do not have beef broth, you can use water, bouillon cube or chicken broth
  • Worcestershire Sauce – See The Best Worcestershire Sauce Substitutes if you are out
  • Sour Cream – You can substitute with Plain Greek Yogurt if you are out. We have even added 2 ounces of cream cheese for a creamier sauce.

We recommend to use ground beef with a little fat for the best flavor. So we like using 85/15 ground beef. But you can use what you prefer and in your budget.

How to Store Leftover Stroganoff

Store the leftover in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Can I Freeze Stroganoff?
