Variations Ideas

  • Chicken – We used boneless skinless chicken breasts but you can also make this recipe with chicken thighs or chicken tenders.
  • Seasoning – Feel free to change the seasoning or add in fresh herbs to the marinade. Substitute the minced garlic for garlic powder. We have even used onion powder since we were out of minced onions. I have even used BBQ Sauce after grilling the chicken for amazing flavor.

How to Make Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken

  • Step 4 – Grill additional lemon to serve with the chicken (optional).

Recipe Tips

  • Cooking Methods – We love to make grilled chicken on the gas grill or our charcoal grill. But you can also bake this chicken in the oven. Check out this Oven Baked Chicken Breast Recipe for easy steps.
  • Cooking Time – When grilling the chicken, the cooking time will vary based on your grill and the size of your chicken. We recommend using a meat thermometer to ensure your chicken is full cooked. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees.
  • Marinating Chicken – We recommend marinating the chicken in the lemon pepper chicken marinade for at least 30 minutes. But we often marinate overnight for the best flavor.

Grilled chicken can be served with many side dishes whether you make them on the grill or indoors. These are some of our favorite side dishes and I always love to serve with a salad.

This chicken would even been great sliced and served over pasta or on a sandwich.
