How to Make Stuffed French Toast
Step 1 – In a shallow bowl to mix the large eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Whisk until everything is well combined.
Step 2 – In a small bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar. You want this really smooth and mixed together well.
Step 3 – Take two slices of bread and spread some of the cream cheese mixture onto each piece of bread. Try to keep the mixture in the middle and not around the edges. This will help once you are frying it.
Step 4 – The strawberries need to be dry so you don’t add extra moisture to the french toast. Just use a paper towel to dry them to remove any excess juices.
Step 5 – Once they are dry, layer some of the strawberries in a single layer on one piece of bread and place. Add the other piece of bread on top.
Step 6 – Lastly, melt the butter in a large skillet. While this is melting, dip each sandwich in the mixture until fully coated. Quickly transfer French toast to the hot, greased skillet.
Step 7 – Cook until golden brown and serve with your favorite toppings.

Stale Bread – For the best French Toast texture use stale bread. This will create soft and fluffy French Toast.
Cream Cheese – To easily spread the cream cheese on the bread, we recommend it being soft.
Strawberries – Slice strawberries thinly so that it is easily lays flat on the bread.
Cooking French Toast – Pan Fry the French Toast in a skillet that has been preheated with melted butter in a single layer. This will help to create the best texture.

We usually cook the French Toast in batches so before serving, I usually place the prepared French Toast in a baking dish and place in a warm oven. This works best for my large family. This way everyone gets a warm breakfast.
How to Store Leftover French Toast
Store leftover French Toast in an Airtight Container in the refrigerator. The leftovers will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar in a shallow bowl.
