Step 1 – Place the trimmed green beans, diced onion, minced garlic, and cooked bacon in the crockpot.

Step 2 – In a separate bowl, mix together the chicken broth, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.

Step 4 – Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the green beans are tender. Once the green beans are cooked to your desired tenderness, stir in the balsamic vinegar and butter.

  • Step 5 – Let the green beans cook for an additional 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend together.
  • Step 6 – Once the green beans are nicely glazed and the flavors are well combined, switch off the crockpot.
