Ingredients for cuban mojo chicken?

  • chicken breast (Chicken thighs are also delicious.)
  • orange juice
  • limes
  • cilantro
  • minced garlic
  • oregano
  • cumin
  • salt

How to make cuban chicken breast recipe:

Place all the ingredients in the crock pot. It is that simple!

Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3 hours.

I have the Ninja cooking system and it is my absolute favorite. The nice thing about this is you can brown the meat in the same slow cooker.

It is nice to just have the one pan to clean and it is very handy. It has become of my favorite kitchen appliances.

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in the crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Remove the chicken, shred and mix it back into the sauce in the crock pot.

    I marinate for 8 hours then roast for approx 45-60 mins at 450° basting toward the end. I tripled the garlic and roughly chopped it so it wouldn’t burn. The sauce is delicious.

    Looks good. For baking in the oven—how long and what temp? Do I marinade the chicken first with the sauce or do I boil the sauce and pour over the chicken?
