You could use this SAME chicken tacos crock pot recipe several different ways and have a different dinner. However, you are still using the same basic and delicious recipe.

You will need a crockpot for 3 ingredient Chicken Tacos.
If you don’t have a crock pot yet, here are some nice ones on sale.  It’s great so that you can have it cook for the perfect amount of time.
There are some really good ones on sale right now. If you work all day, you may want to invest in a programmable crockpot.
They are awesome because you can set them to start later, or to stop and switch to warm once the dinners are ready. Amazon has some on sale right now too.
I also really like this crockpot. Now, it’s not programmable but it’s so handy!
It has the feature where you can lock the lid down. That feature is so nice for when you take meals to potlucks or need to transport the meal somewhere.
Now if you want to save yourself even more time then I really recommend these Crockpot liners. They make clean up a breeze.
Instead of scrubbing and washing the pot, you can just toss the liner. It is practically no clean up.

This is a simple recipe that will soon become a family favorite. It is tasty and delicious and so easy.
I use a hand mixer to shred the chicken faster. It is so easy and one of my best time saving kitchen tips!
If you are not shredding your chicken this way, you are missing out. It can be done in a fraction of the time by doing it by hand.
Plus, I love the texture of the chicken when you use the hand mixer.
If you don’t have a mixer, shredding with two forks works as well. It’s a great recipe!

You can freeze Crockpot Shredded Chicken Tacos!
This is a very easy freezer friendly recipe. Just toss the chicken breasts (uncooked) into a freezer bag.
Then add the salsa and taco seasoning. Freeze completely.
When you are ready to use, just place the entire ingredients from the bag into the crockpot. Add 1/4 cup of water, and cook about the same amount of time for an even easier dinner idea.
Now you can also cook this like normal and then freeze it. I like to freeze them in cupcake pans and once frozen pop them out and place in the freezer bag.
Then you have an easy lunch idea and the chicken is frozen in individual servings.
This is such an easy dinner idea when you know you will have a really busy week.

Hi, I love this recipe! So simple and delicious! The girls I nanny for love it. I had one question though can this be made with chicken breast that isn’t frozen? If so, what changes in cooking time would I need to make?
Thanks in advance for your help 🙂

Yes, it can Samantha – I would just reduce the time in the crockpot by about an hour.

Do you need to add water to the crockpot so the chicken doesn’t stick?
Carrie says
You don’t have to, but you can if you want. Since my chicken breasts are frozen, the provide a lot of water and moisture as they cook.

What kind of salsa did you use?
Carrie says
I have used any store bought Salsa, but often I use Picante sauce.
