The serving ideas are endless and everyone fights over leftovers. The sweet and savory teriyaki sauce makes the meat so tender and delicious.
Ingredients:
- Pork Chops
- Brown Sugar
- Soy Sauce
- Rice Wine Vinegar
- Honey
- Minced Garlic
- Ground Ginger
- Pepper
- Cornstarch
How to make teriyaki pork chop marinade:
- MIx together the marinade ingredients. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger and pepper together in a medium size bowl.
- Reserve approximately ½ cup of the this mixture. Then use the remaining mixture to marinade the pork chops by placing the pork chops in a large bowl or plastic bag and pouring the remaining sauce over the pork.
- Let the pork marinade. Allow the pork chops to marinade for at least 30 minutes but you can marinade it for up to 8 hours.
- Remove from the fridge. Take the pork chops out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking them.
How to grill pork chops
- Heat the gas grill over medium high heat. It needs to be at least 400 degrees F and rub the grill gates with olive oil so that the pork chops do not stick while grilling.
- Place the pork chops on the grill and cook. Cook for 5-6 minutes per side (based on the thickness of the pork chops) until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. The pork will release naturally from the grill gates when it’s ready to flip. If the pork is browning too quickly because of the sugar in the marinade, reduce the temperature on the grill.
- Allow the cooked pork chops to rest. Move the pork chops to a plate and let them rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
- Mix the reserved sauce. While the pork is cooking, mix the remaining sauce with the cornstarch. Heat this mixture in a sauce pan over medium high heat, whisking constantly until the mixture has thickened.
- Baste the meat. Brush this sauce over the grilled pork chops when serving and enjoy! Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

- White Rice. We make a huge batch in the crock pot. The teriyaki sauce is delicious spooned over the rice.
