How to create an adorable Halloween Tablescape
First, I headed to the Family Dollar party section and grabbed a black tablecloth for my tablescape. Then I headed to the Halloween section and picked up all the cute decorations.
I used trick or treat pails to hold my popcorn and my spicy snack mix that the kids go crazy for. Aren’t they just adorable?
The purple cat is simply the best! You will be shocked how inexpensive everything is. My kids think I need the cat out for display all year round! I love how the spiders look creepy crawling in the popcorn too.
My personal favorite is the light up tree. The purple lights are so fun for the kids! I love how the purple, orange, and the black all go together perfectly. Are you wondering about the cute signs in the back?
Those are actually yard signs. They were surprisingly inexpensive and I thought they would be perfect as a back drop! Don’t they look so spooky and wicked!?
Personally, I love how my cups turned out. I love when an idea actually works out!
I grabbed some very inexpensive clear plastic cups from Family Dollar. I used a permanent marker to draw Jack-o-lantern faces on them. Fill them up with your favorite orange drink and you have the cutest Jack-0-lantern drinks! The kids loved these! You could make ghosts by filling them up with milk, or use different colored soda and make monsters! The possibilities are endless!
Finally, to finish off the cutest Halloween snack table are my adorable Mummies and Monsters Halloween Rice Krispies Treats. These were fun to make, but so easy to make that even the kids can do it.
First I “cheated” a little by using Rice Krispies Treats from Family Dollar. They are the perfect bite size and it saves me a ton of time in the kitchen. I used some tub icing to decorate the rest.
Use a little bit of icing to glue on some eyes. You can even use chocolate chips for eyes if you do not have any candy eyes.
Then, I put some icing in a sandwich bag. I pressed all the icing towards the corner and I cut the corner to make a homemade piping bag. Then I “piped” the lines on the Rice Krispies Treats to look like Mummies.
I think they turned out adorable!
Since I was feeling a little inspired, I took a little of the store bought icing and I separated it into two bowls. I dyed one green and one black with food coloring. Then I made the cutest “monsters”.
I used a knife to spread the icing, and I did the same sandwich bag trick to pipe on the mouth. A little sprinkles for the hair and these monsters are done. Aren’t they adorable? You could even do multiple colors if you wanted.
Monsters and Mummies Halloween Rice Krispies Treats are easy to make.
From start to finish these adorable Halloween Rice Krispies Treats took me about 10 minutes to make. The kids were super impressed and they ate them all quickly. If I can do this, you can too!
I hope I have inspired you to head to your local Family Dollar, pick up some adorable Halloween decorations, a few snacks, and surprise your family with some Halloween fun!
