Step 4 – Spoon a little bit of the seasoned beef mixture into each cup. I use a small cookie scoop to make this very easy. Then sprinkle each cup with the shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 5 – Place another wonton wrapper on top and repeat the steps with the remaining ingredient so that you end with cheese.

Step 6 – The last step is to bake until golden brown and melty cheese on top. Once out of the oven, allow to cool for 5 minutes before you remove from the muffin tin. Add your favorite taco toppings and serve!

Pro Tips

  • Removing Taco Cups – To make it easy to remove, run a knife around each muffin and then they should easily slide out. It’s very important to make sure they are cool completely. Don’t rush this step or you may have trouble getting them out or they may lose their shape.
  • Mini Muffin Tins – We used a mini muffin pan and it was the perfect size for these wonton wrapper taco cups.
  • Preparing Wonton Cups – Also, it’s so helpful to use a pastry shaper tool. It’s not necessary but it makes it so much easier to push down the wontons. I highly recommend one if you don’t already have one.

Iโ€™m looking at making these for a large party. I am going to make them in advance but Iโ€™m wondering how to reheat them, just in the oven on low, Or microwave?

    1. Carrie Barnard says:

I would reheat in the oven on a low temperature and when you make them originally, I recommend reducing some of the cook time so that the wonton wrappers don’t get over cooked. I hope everyone enjoy these at your party!
