Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Make Sliders Ahead of Time?

Yes, you can prepare these turkey and cheese sliders ahead of time but I would wait to add the butter until ready to bake. Cover the prepare sliders and place in the fridge.

What is the Best Bread to Use for Sliders?

My go-to bread for sliders is always sweet Hawaiian Rolls. We love the slight sweetness that it adds to the sliders and they’re perfectly soft! You can also use dinner rolls or small potato or sourdough rolls. Really, any small and soft roll will work perfectly for your baked turkey sliders.

What Cheese Goes Well with Turkey?

There are many different kinds of cheese that pair perfectly with turkey! The hard part is deciding which one to use. Your best choice is a soft cheese such as mozzarella, which is what is used in this recipe. Provolone and swiss are also common to use with turkey. Other options include Muenster, Havarti Cheese, or Gouda, but those aren’t always as easy to find.

Do I Need Cover Sliders While Baking?

There is no need to cover the sliders with foil while baking. But if your rolls are burning and the cheese is not melted, you may need to cover the sliders.

How to Store Leftover Sliders

Store the leftovers in an airtight container or cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. These sandwich are great cold or your can easily reheat in the microwave or air fryer.

Yes definitely! I would wrap them up and place in the fridge. Then cook in the morning. Or if you want go ahead and cook the night before and then refrigerator. They are delicious both hot or cold.

Hi. Thanks for the recipe. Can I make these the evening before and then serve the next day for an office potluck? If yes, how can I wrap them overnight to ensure they remain fresh? I’ve never made these before. Thank you.

Hi, just wanted to let you know in the narrative it shows 3/4 cup of butter but at the bottom the recipe states 1TBS . I’m sure it was a typo but you may want to fix it. I have a lot of extra melted garlic butter
