Variations

  • Change the Meat – Make ground chicken lasagna by substituting ground chicken for the shredded chicken. You can also use ground turkey for a change. Try making this lasagna with a rotisserie chicken.
  • Add Veggies – Adding onion and bell peppers is a great way to sneak in veggies. (Learn and how to freeze onions and also how to freeze peppers to save time.) Chopped Zucchini or sliced mushrooms is another great addition.
  • Spinach – Add spinach into the pasta sauce mixture. Kale is another great addition.
  • Cheese – Try a cup cheddar cheese with the mozzarella. We have even adding pepper jack cheese for a spicy kick to the lasagna.
  • Ricotta Cheese – Add cottage cheese or ricotta cheese to the pasta dish.
  • Creamier – Use cream of chicken soup or cream cheese instead of a tomato base for a new dish idea.

Recipe Tips:

What to Serve With Easy Chicken Lasagna:

We like to serve it with a simple side salad or Easy Grilled Broccoli.  Also, we love Garlic Bread Cheese Sticks Recipe that is great to get every last drop. We even like to dip in the yummy tomato sauce.

How to Freeze:

Make this meal even easier by freezing it. I like to make one to eat for dinner and another to freeze for a simple meal later. You can store the other in a freezer safe foil disposable dish.

It does not take any extra work to make 2 because you already have all the ingredients out. This way you only have to mess up your kitchen once.

Save time and freeze another dish. You will thank me later. It will stay fresh for up to 3 months.
