If there is one thing my family loves it is throwing Summer parties. Today I wanted to give you some tips on how to throw the best summer party on a budget. My family loves hot dogs. However, I am a hot dog snob. I just simply love Ball Park hot dogs. Recently, I got to try out the Ball Park Park’s Finest Hot dogs and let me tell you… I found my new favorite hot dog.
Our family loved them. We tried the All Beef slow smoked hickory Ball Park Park’s Finest and our family devoured them. They tasted amazing. Personally I love that there were not artificial preservatives and that it was 100% beef. This is why my family now is choosing these hot dogs for our BBQs.
I know it might sound silly, but I just loved the easy peel part to open the package. No need to stab the package with your knife and accidentally slicing a hot dog. It might not seem like a big deal but when you are opening up several of them for a family BBQ, then it really comes in handy.
1. Cook Ball Park Park’s Finest
Hot dogs are easy to grill especially for a crowd. You can make them in no time and the kids just love them. Take it up a notch and give your family and friends dinner they won’t forget with Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs.
Remember, when you throw a Summer party, you don’t want spend your entire time sitting in front of the grill.
2. Have a variety of toppings.
From homemade ketchup to homemade hot dog relish, don’t skimp on the toppings. Our family loves a variety of condiments on their hot dogs. It is very frugal to put out a several options to satisfy your guests:
- Homemade ketchup
- homemade relish
- homemade bbq sauce
- mexican cheese dip
What do you like on your hot dog?
3. Serve chips and finger foods
Let’s be honest, the kids don’t care about all the fancy stuff. They just want to enjoy some family time. We always have chips and a dip. You have to try our Fiesta Ranch dip. We love it.
We also put out fruit and veggies for the kids.
4. Make your desserts
Desserts can really add up at the store? Can you believe a cake is $10 at the store when you can make it for lesss than $2. Make it at home to save you money. We often forget how easy and frugal it is to make desserts at home. Here are a few of my favorite desserts for our Summer parties:
- Angel Food cupcakes
- Chocolate chip cookie cheesecake bars
- Rootbeer float popsicles
- Chocolate Cola Cake
5. Plan an activity
We have family and friends over all the time for Summer swimming and grilling. Swimming is by far our favorite activity but not everyone has a pool.
Plan something to do together that won’t cost a fortune. A few ideas include a family football game, a family kick ball game, family tag, a movie night, or even a bike ride. What ever you decide, making the memories will be the much more important than how much you spent on it.
As you can see, you can have a blast with family and friends, without spending a fortune. I highly recommend you start with Ball Park Park’s Finest hot dogs for your next family BBQ.
