How to Cook Asparagus in the Oven:
- Step 1 – Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Step 2 – Trim the edges of the asparagus off. You want to get all the rough ends cut off.
- Step 3 – Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil for easy clean up.
- Step 4 – Lay asparagus on the cookies sheet in an even single layer to roast the asparagus.
- Step 5 – Drizzle lightly with olive oil and season with the minced garlic, salt and pepper.
- Step 6 – Cook for 7-10 minutes based on thickness of the asparagus until asparagus darkens slightly and is tender. Do NOT overcook. The asparagus should still be crisp. It will continue cook as it sits.

- 1 pound fresh asparagus
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Trim the edges of the asparagus off. You want to get all the rough ends cut off.
- Line a cookie sheet with foil for easy clean up.
- Lay asparagus on the cookies sheet in an even layer.
- Drizzle lightly with the olive oil.
- Sprinkle the minced garlic, salt and pepper over the top of the asparagus.
