Beef tacos are so easy in the crock pot. The shredded beef is flavorful and tender for a great meal. The chipotle flavor is amazing.

The beef is so tender and amazing with the best flavor.  It has the perfect amount of heat from from the adobe sauce and chipotle peppers but not so much that the kids can’t enjoy it.

How to Make Steak Tacos in the Crock Pot

Step 1 – Place the flank steak in the bottom of a 6-quart crock pot.

Chipotle peppers, lime juice, slice onions, minced garlic, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper

Step 2 – In a bowl, mix together the chopped chipotle peppers, lime juice, sliced onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture over the steak in the crock pot.

Step 3 – Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Step 4 – Remove the steak from the crock pot and place it on a cutting board. Using two forks, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded steak to the crock pot and stir to combine with the cooking liquid and chipotle-lime mixture.

  • Step 5 – Warm the tortillas according to the package instructions.
  • Step – Serve the shredded steak in the warm tortillas, topped with your favorite taco toppings.

The beef is delicious in corn tortillas but you can use flour tortillas if you prefer. We have an easy recipe for flour tortillas.   • 1/2 cup Lime Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 Onion (sliced)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin

  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 12-16 Soft Corn or Flour Tortillas
